Welcome to our two-day travel guide of must-visit destinations and delicious food in this beautiful city. Today, we will focus on exploring some of the top attractions in the area, so get ready for an exciting adventure!
Start your day off at the Palace Museum, also known as the Forbidden City. This ancient palace was once the imperial palace of the Ming and Qing dynasties and showcases some of the best-preserved Chinese architecture, history and culture! It's a huge place, so plan to spend at least 2-3 hours here.
After lunch, make your way to Wangfujing Shopping Street. With lots of shops to explore, this area is a goldmine for souvenir and gift hunters. You can also snack on some iconic local street food, such as Beijing yogurt and candied hawthorn.
End your first day with a Kung Fu Show! The Red Theater hosts one of the best shows in the city. You'll witness some of the most impressive performances of Chinese martial arts, dance, and storytelling in an hour-long extravaganza.
It's your second day in the city, and we're going to take you to the most visited places to experience traditional Beijing cuisine.
Start your morning early and head out to Juyongguan or Badaling, two of the best-preserved sections of the Great Wall. The Great Wall of China is a world-famous attraction and a must-visit destination in Beijing. It's a challenging climb, so it's a good idea to wear comfortable clothes and shoes and bring a water bottle.
You can’t leave Beijing without eating the famous Beijing Roast Duck! Head to Da Dong Roast Duck Restaurant, which is famous for its peking duck. The ingredients are fresh and the duck is crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. It's definitely worth the price.
End your day with an exciting evening out experiencing Beijing nightlife. Head to Houhai Bar Street, a lively area with bars and restaurants where you can sit back with a drink and enjoy the atmosphere. Or, you can also go to Sanlitun, the city’s most trendy and upscale nightlife district.
With that, we have come to the end of our two-day travel guide. Whether you’re visiting for a short time or an extended stay, there are plenty of attractions and delicious foods in Beijing to enjoy. We hope you have a wonderful experience!
